Supermarket giant Iceland is offering a way to help families save money this week by offering 1p meals to shoppers.

Iceland has offered a deal that is available to online shoppers. It comes after Censuswide research showed that over half of British adults said that they would cut down on hot meals during the week as energy price and cost of food increases.

Iceland shoppers will be able to choose from a range of frozen meals which will be 1p each until Friday, November 4. However, there is a catch in the terms and conditions.

As mentioned, the promotion is only available online, however, those choosing to take advantage of the deal will have to spend £25 to qualify. It is part of a new scheme called the “Big Cooker Switch Off Challenge” which the supermarket giant launched to help families ditch their high-energy appliances such as electric cookers.

Meals included in the deal include the likes of toad in the hole, bangers and mash, macaroni cheese and even vegetable lasagne, are amongst the 14 meals in the promotion. Normally costing £1, shoppers will save 99p per meal.

When checking out, shoppers will be able to get three of these meals for 1p using a special code as they checkout. Online customers must select which meals they want and add it to their basket, then when ready to finalize and check out, enter the promo code ‘READY1p’
